Oh, and I've just gotta get a Bat-Bike like the one in this latest Batman movie, even with its potentially expensive tyre costs, LOL.

@ JC & kyle: Congrats, guys! Sorry for my belated responses; I'm catching up slowly as and when I have a chance to scroll back through the thread's replies, using the P1i.

@ falcon:
LMAO, ya Oupa Wanqa needs to keep up with the the latest buzz, LOL.
I'm not going to say that I'll never move back to SA permanently, but for the forseeable future I'll be living in the UK... We've got Dual Citizenship so our options are wide open.
We have thought about buying a house in EL and building up enough of a 'nest egg' to live off each month, but the rate of inflation and price hikes here leaves a few more questions to be answered...
At this stage though, we're looking at either saving to purchase a second house in the UK (15% deposit required at least on a second house here) or investing in some off shore thingies like ISA's etc.
I'm watching how SA house prices are fluctuating too, particularly down here where house prices are starting to either plateau or steadily decline with the current financial climate..
Decisions, decisions... we've got to sit down with our financial advisor in the near future and see where we go from there. Whatever the outcome, we'll make sure we've done our 'homework' thoroughly before making any long-term financial decisions etc.

@ falcon:
Another thing boet, check out some house prices in East London and PE compared to other parts of the country... crazy. I'm sure Kryptik and Mario/Jan would concur.
I just dunno how the average oke manages to cope... am I missing something?
@ tranced
Thanks mate.
Yeah sometimes we don't always realise that there's so many people in countries outside of our own continents that are also really financially battling; there's a lot that I'm very grateful for.

I often wonder how young people, on the verge of starting out in life, are expected to buy a house, when those of us who've been in the game for a while are just about keeping head above water. These days it's nigh impossible unless one has either an interest-bearing portfolio or another reliable source of income.
Wanqa, did you get to spend any time in the classroom the other day? Rowdy bunch of little felons, aren't they?
Speaking of felons and the law, in years gone by i did some legal courses and training, and the way things are looking at the moment i may be joining the educ.dept's legal division in Jan. 2009, if not sooner.

@ Kryptik: Unfortunately we didn't have time to check out the felons in action as such; we purposely arrived there before breaktime and after saying howzit and then a speech to all the staff, we were chatting at length with the acting headmaster, the same oke who gave a naughty li'l Wanqa several hidings when he attended the very same school in the early 80's, LOL. BTW, had a short but lekker chat with 'Stofpad' as well. He didn't seem sure as to when he'd have a chance to see all the guys again. But he's well and involved as ever with the hockey etc.
