yupp^^ same here too.. i'm not talkin bout pictures which are using ANY of the special modes..i'm just talking about pictures WITHOUT flash and WITHOUT macro and about pictures taken in twilight landscape mode... i'm not talking about the AWESOME special modes ^^ and i'm not a n00b too..

one example (posting it again, some pages before this page i already posted it, jomateixa told me that he wanna try to lower the iso to get better results, but since then, nothing happened)

(there is room for improvement, on number one's 2.99 i've never got any of that noise on twilight landscape)

or here (here the noise is not THAT visible, but to me, maybe not to your eyes, there is room for improvement, don't tell me the noise is comin because i held the phone wrong or whatever.., i can take exactly the same pic on number one's driver without that LITTLE bit of noise, WHILE using only TWILIGHT LANDSCAPE mode and no change in ev or whatsoever, i swear you)

daylight pics, macro pics, party pics = ultimate OWNS
night pics with low light and without flash and pics in auto mode with very low light and without flash = number one OWNS

also i don't understand the "SPECIAL INDOOR MODE" (portrait mode without flash), every pic i've taken with it, was very noisy, even after re-installing the camdriver several times and even after using the self-timer... i could post endless examples of noisy indoor pics i've taken with it.. even on THREE of my friends k800i's with different firmware, i was unable to take good shots with that mode (and i'm not talking any bullshit and i'm not a n00b, i'm just saying this, because it seems to me, that there are ppl out there who don't believe me that i'm using THAT mode > portrait mode without flash = special indoor mode)... here is just another example i took just now with my k800i in portrait mode without flash...whats special about that mode? the noise?.. i can show you a movie clip, if u won't believe me that i'm using that CORRECT mode = portrait mode without flash on withan 2.60.. and i can show you that i'm doing the same on exactly THREE different phones, and still get the same results..

The Indoor mode has 6 fps shutter speed, it is, lower than the stock driver in low light (7,5 fps). Don't you see the fps changing in viewfinder and the slower focus? I don't know why you get noisy pics, that mode is workng fine, you can find the proofs watching some of the hundreds of samples posted here. Here some posted by farukk:

Auto mode without flash:

Portrait mode without flash:

About the little noise in twilight landscape, yes maybe with a lower ISO value we will get less noise, but more dark pics. I'm expecting a comparison between the N1 and Ultimate's night modes.

Ok here we go
UCD 2.39 withan, auto + macro +flash on

And UCD 2.60 withan auto+ macro + RER

2.39 gives a little bright photos but these photos show that photos from 2.60 look better
Ok testing 2.60 in progress

The 2.60 macros are more dark due to the "Auto mode macro ISO 100" fix added in later versions. I added it because of a general request.

TIP:
Try to do some macro pics using slow sync modes or Party modes II and III

I noticed that the focus when doing macros (regardless of macro mode or not) of small sthings like flies etc is shit. If focuses, its getting sharp an then it is reall unsharp again, quite impossible to take pictures then. Also the portait modes are not suitable for daylight because the image is just white.

I never liked to use UCD indoor mode (protrait). It causes a bit of blur and its slow. Using auto + RER can replace indoor mode when shooting close to moderate distance very well since Twilight landscape mode can do distance indoor shooting.

OMFG, this how the fuxxing Indoor mode works:

AUTO MODE WITHOUT FLASH:

PORTRAIT MODE WITHOUT FLASH:

As said in first post, the indoor mode has a ISO limit on 800 (is a code limitation in #COM_EVENT(02,XX)), so when there's very low light you should use another modes, like any flash mode or twilight landscape. This is the only way to have faster AF in the other modes.
