It's good to hear that Sony will bring a fresh new design ....finally
I'm thinking about getting this or either one of the two upcoming beasts from Xiaomi (Mi MIx 2S) or Huawei (P20 Plus)

You can see Sony's logo at the top in the taller phone, also the camera button logo is the same.

The top and bottom bezels do look smaller, a lot smaller than current xperia bezels, does this mean 18:9?
Also if you look closely the glass on the front is 2.5, so it curves to the side a bit.

If I decided to buy any Huawei, I would go for Mate 10. P11/P20 will have the notch, like iphone X.
Same Kirin 970 of Mate 10.
A Xperia with front of Mate 10 ( a bit bigger bezels, like 2 mm more each to fit speakers) and back of XZP would be perfect.

Indeed it could be that plate one, or a variant of it.
While I could be mistaken, it looks like the Sony logo is now at the bottom of the device, similar to their bravia tvs?
