I thought they want to replace their compact cameras; IMX 557 albeit excellent is a no replacement to the image sensors their compact cameras have. Guess, should lower my expectations from Sony

I'm surprised people aren't asking for a full frame sensor in the next Xperia, and then being disappointed and say they should lower their expectations 😉

That sound surprisingly suck. It might be the worse front facing camera for the flagship level phone next year.

When sony had 13MP, all I could see all over internet was that it was unnecessary. 7 or 8Mp were more than enough.
Now they put 8, everyone complains.

When other were using 5 or 7MP.
The excuse "megapixels make no difference".
Unless they use more bezel, no space for 1/3" 13MP.
