@CrownedAkuma

I was waiting for Z1 Compact, but I am short of money, so I bought Moto G, too. Waiting for it to be delivered this week. I am so eager to come back to Android from WP! Sorry for OT.

The comparison pictures look very promising!
Definitely some enhanced software.

The only question is whether the sensor itself is any different or not. Maybe a newer batch.

Nonetheless I like it

[OT]Bad days still ahead

Moody's cuts Sony's credit rating to junk

The ratings agency said that while Sony had taken steps to cut costs and improve profitability, the benefits of those steps were emerging “slowly” and its key segments “seem unlikely to soon regain the robust profit levels seen historically”.

More Job Cuts

Sony has offered early retirement to workers at five factories across Japan – including one that makes cameras – as part of a move to cut costs.

Nope. But Sirius will have stereo speakers and the S-Force engine, though it is unknown if that is hardware or software based.

@smclion102: Damn. First Fitch Ratings in 2012 and now Moody's... Who's not accounted for? Standard & Poor's. It has Sony on the second-lowest investment grade and apparantly has placed it under review for junk status. Soon...

Ouch! I remember they cut Nokia's credit rating down to junk around 2012.
This makes me wonder how Sony's holiday Q numbers are looking. No word on how the Xperia Z1, and Z Ultra did for them.

^Sony said the Z1 is doing amazing for them, not long now before the numbers are revealed.

Rough times are ahead, but unlike many companies which faded, like Blackberry and Nokia, Sony are fighting.
The PlayStation brand is as strong as ever and the Xperia Brand is going from strength to strength.
The Camera division is making waves as it always has been.

Unfortunately, its the other divisions that are dragging it down considerably. Sony needs to make its Pictures, TV and Laptop division profitable again, and fast, to stay afloat.

Sony's largest money bleeder is its TV division. It's high time for Sony to scale down on its TV division.

2013 was sh*t for Pictures compared to 2012, 2014 is looking better with RoboCop, 22 Jump Street and especially The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And god I hope one of the those other unknown movies would be a surprise hit. But I think they aren't really getting much from Pictures anyway.

They need a refresh to their laptops, something like what they are doing with the Xperias. I don't know what else they can do with their TVs.
