Well, I don't know if its a bug but when i add a birthday in the phonebook in my W810i and add it to the calendar it won't show up if the year of birth is earlier then 1970. This problem didn't occur in my K750. I hope this will be fixed in the next firmware because i have some very old friends, born in the sixties, you know!

Hi.
I have just received a new W810i Tuesday morning, and it had firmware R4CF002 (CHINA).
I played around with it and it did indeed have the LED flashing bug, and the loss of shortcut upon restarting bug.
The phones built in update service indicated I had the latest software already installed.
So I hooked up the phone to the SEUS web update, and it updated the software to R4CK003.
I can tell you all that with the updating to R4CK003, the problems with the LED bug, and the shortcut bug, have been resolved.

no news of new firmware yet? upping the cam version to 5.x, plus all other fixes. *i hope the rendering bug i posted
here (which no one seemed interested in..bleh!) gets looked into as well. not overly critical, but very annoying*

Hi, I got a w810i last week branded vor vodafone. I tried to unbrand it using davinci client 15.94 with following files and OSD win98SE:
W810_R4CE012_MAIN_GENERIC_HN.DVT 13.606 kb
W810_R4CE012_FS_EU2.DVT 7.464 kb
BTW No other client version recognizes my phone: 15.6, 15.8, 15.95, 16.1, I tried this with the same result on a firewalled Win2000-PC. The respective message is allways:

Since then the phone is dead. It won't boot at all. The credit was nonetheless used up, though there happened no finalization.
Now I tried to repair it using the next credit but in vain:

R4CE012 here. I have a very irritating bug:
when a new event occurs (like a new sms, a missed call etc.) and you do not notice is straight away, the screens just blanks after a few seconds and gives no indication whatsoever that there is e.g. a new sms. I do not want to push any buttons to see if I might have received an sms, I want to see it straight away on the screen. Any solution to this? On my old k700, an envelope was displayed over the clock on the screensaver, but now you have to push a button to see the clock... stupid, stupid SE!

any from Australian Region with CDA102494/2 EU_2 can get this latest firmware from SEUS

I've had my w810i for about 2 days, noticed while playing an album today that when you lock the keys with the walkman playing and press the pause key on the side it will stop fine, but when you press it again to start up again it goes back to first song on the album, seems to do this at random, very annoying.
I'm on Vodafone and useing R4CE012
Can't update as software says I have latest version blah blah etc.
