> Nokia N73 vs SE K800i which is better?

I bet you haven¡¦t really tried both the K800 and the N73. You probably got the N73 and have no real experience in using both phones. Besides specs reading is not your strong point ¡V You claim N73 is superior when it comes to technology. Hmmm:
Xenon flash
Longer battery life
Bluetooth stereo support
Faster interface
Internet-based software update
USB charging
These points are where the K800 shines. I don¡¦t think you even bothered to read my previous post but it is not a clear choice what the winner is as I mentioned earlier. Not even the camera is easy. Sure the N73 has a lot of people going crazy over is color post-processing (yes N73 ads more saturation to the picture) but the picture is not very neutral and if you wanted to add artificial improvement to the pictures then you can do it as well on the K800 ¡V but it won¡¦t ruin the original. Besides N73 noise reduction removes details in the picture that you can see on the K800 pictures.
And the screen? Does the N73 offer more room for visualization and all kind of files? Yes maybe if you are retarded! The resolution IS THE SAME. There is not more room on N73 screen ¡V the pixels are larger. If that is your idea on an objective review then I hope the reviewer gets fired for not bothering with reading the specs at least. Don¡¦t just read reviews that agree with the things you want to hear. That is the strategy of Apple and Nintendo fanboysƒ¼ I am sorry about being so pissed but that has to be the lamest comment ever. Large pixels do not give more room on the screen! But you are not the only one ¡V I saw one the Nokia fanboys write that screen on N73 is 40% larger!! How do you argue with people that claim stuff like that?
When comparing the K800 right next to N73 (yes I did that many times ¡V I don¡¦t just read about it) then it is clearly that the K800 is sharper (doh ¡V the pixels are smaller) but the contrast is also much higher. The N73 seems slightly more washed-out. Side by side the K800 wins. Sure N73 has a larger screen but as long as the resolution is the same it does not matter and the K800 looks better. Besides the N73 screen really ruins the keypad.
Sure the N73 has many strong points and I really like the phone. And as you mentioned it has Symbian, faster file transfer and combines both Edge and UMTS. Besides the speakers are more powerful on the N73 but the 3D sound is just a gimmick.
It also annoys me that M2 only is available in 1GB
It¡¦s is not an easy task choosing between the two and actually I would say the choice is very subjective. I choose the K800 in the end because it takes better pictures and responds much faster. I also liked the screen and keypad better and the battery is also very important for me. But it was a close call for the inner techie in me loved the Symbian features (even though I rarely used them after a while) and the Edge/UMTS combination is also very nice. And I hate going back to 1 GB when I am used to 2 GB but I hope Sony will remedy this soon with a 2 GB M2.

Another point in the n73's favour...is the slide show presentation. you can hook it up to the tv, and set your photo's to music, if wanted...the picture's morph into each other after 5 second delay, not just slide over....
By the way, a few post's it is stated that third party software for symbian is "NOT" free.. i think you'll find there's over a hundred app's that are free, including actual language translator's english to french etc etc, along with some excellent games (doom for example).
n73 has tv out? are you sure??? didn't have it on mine
the good apps usually cost money.. or if you're on a forum you'll know where to dig for cracks
i love the n73 screen don't get me wrong nice and big.. but it kills the keypad IMO... which is another reason i prefer the k800/790a
the n73 isn't really a pushover when it comes to battery though... the k790 might have it beat by a touch.. cause the bpm-6 or whatever packs 1100mah

I´m really sad some people ended up insulting me here, i didnt expect that honestly but I believe that when u no longer have arguments to defend a point a view sadly u try and attack the person instead of the subject.
I mentioned other reviews which i found objective before because i didnt want my personal opinions to affect my judgement. No, i dont have a N73 or k800 but i have used and played with both and i know people who have them, i just didnt think their private impressions would fit here. My repetitive posts were an attempt for this thread to come to a consesus based on objective terms, one that all can accept so we can finally have an answer. I didnt want this discussion to end up with subjective impressions, empty arguments, rubbish jokes or insults but sadly thats what happened and what usually happens here in esato when one tries to compare a

phone.

I am sorry you feel insulted. But the repetitive tone in your posts makes it difficult not to get upset with you. Sure the last couple of posts have been quite lame but we are still some who finds this discussion interesting. But to keep it objective we need some feedback from users that have intensively tried the phones instead of getting information from Nokia and SE homepages alone.
I don’t think a review is objective when it claims that the N73 can show more information on its screen. Come on. Look at the specs. It can be settled even without hands-on experience due to plain simple logic and the fact that both phones have the same resolution. In a serious discussion it ruins everything just as much as stupid one-liners and insults.
If you want to be objective then BE OBJECTIVE. You are very keen on making the N73 a given winner and quite frankly it is not. Look at my previous post and see some points where it really has some shortcomings.
Sure it beats the crap out of K800 on several issues. But not everything and then the mud throwing starts because some people want it to be best at everything. But things like the screen and camera is not where it wins if you make a decent and thorough look at it. Sure at a very quick look the N73 wins: It has a larger screen and the pictures look better. BUT K800 screen is sharper and the contrast is higher, and the K800 camera takes more natural pictures without artificial post processing to satisfy the masses who doesn’t know better. If you want to raise the level of this thread – put some more depth to it.

I think it is the other way round. N73 specs-wise beats the K800 and that's a FACT. For those who root for N73, they have the higher ground and there is no need to do much but sit and watch how the other side foolishly charge up the hill (a.k.a arguing
AGAINST FACT
) by bringing subjective and filmsy reasons such as:-
- "I dont need N73 functions so K800 is better"
- "I dont like N73 photo vividness so K800 is better"
- "I prefer smaller screen of K800 so K800 is better"
- "I read someone said N73 crashed so K800 must be the better"
and so on and on.
I think K800 fans are the ones that beat around the bush. If they only bring up filmsy reasons like above in their argument I think it is too much to expect the opponent to just "accept" them without protest. It would be the more rational that SE fans just bite the bullet and concede that N73 is the OVERALL BETTER phone in terms of technical specs.
Here I like to clarify that "better" doesnt mean "winner/successful". So SE fans may want to consider debate from another perspective like phone sales, popularity, design, fault rate or price.
