its simple. when you activate MTN zone, you are moved to a different charge range. i.e. from GHC0.138/min to GHC0.175/min. The normal charge for MTN customers is 0.138, But it is different from MTN zone users. hence you are charged more when you have 0% discount. That how MTN is ripping us.

hmmm GPRS on mtn in my town had gone off for six weeks and anytime i called them they told me they would call me back, and that was all,and i had to pay for it even as the service was not working and it cost me 40 ghana cedis. wonder why they dont even care for the ppl who give money, but keeps on looking as if they are the best.

i want to know why you had to pay 40ghc for a service you had not use. I want to know if you are a prepaid or postpaid user and how did you get to get this service done for you.
i think it is really a good move for gprs service if you really dont get any problems with the service.
About gprs service i think mtn has the fatest and efficient service if only it is working onetouch gprs is very slow to send data and tigo has problems connecting to some sites and has some restrictions to download sizes

yes i agree with you mtn is fast. And i'm a postpaid user with two line or numbers that's why i lost 40 gh cedis, 20 cedis for each line. u see i have to pay 20cedis every 31th even if i use it or not and i should have told them to remove the GPRS on my phone when it was not working in my area(AKROPONG-AKUAPEM) But because they kept teling me it would be back as they had told the IT guys ABOUT it, i kept waiting for it,and it never did, sometimes i had to call them every two days so after having lost that much i did't want to pay again so i called to hav it turned off.lf they fix it i would use it.

Well i think i now understand you but i want o know how do you subscribe for this service for a prepaid customer do you just call them and tell them to connect the gprs for you so you pay every month or just tell them you want to be postpaid customer.
Anyway have you not asked why the gprs service is not working in AkuapemAkropong i think you should disconnect from the service and connect back when it is working.
