Morning all, morning, morning, afternoon whatever

Yes, I've been very busy lately but the couch hasn't been put back into retirement just yet. Things are slowing down again now so the next series will begin shortly

Good evening and welcome to another edition of On the Couch with Cycovision!

Tonight I'm joined by a young lady who has certainly made a bit of an impact during her short time at Esato; and maybe not always for the right reasons. But when it comes to mobile phones, she knows her megabits per second from her milliamp-hours and she isn't scared to tell you all about it. Please welcome, alexandra!

Alexandra, may I start as ever by asking you how you found the Esato Website?

I found it when I was searching for hacks and customisations for my K800. I wasn't able to leave!

What were your first impressions of Esato?

It was a fairly helpful forum. I originally created an account so I could view pics, but then I just became a regular poster.

You seem to have some very strong opinions and you aren't afraid to 'tell it like it is' here on Esato! Are you as confident in real life or does the anonymous nature of the Internet play a part?

Well, my Dad always tells me to stop being so opinionated, and I wrote a 5-page rant for my brother because his friend said to him that global warming exists. So yeah, I guess I am very opinionated.

You definitely know your mobile phones; would you like to eventually work in the technology industry or do you have other ambitions?

I'd love to work in the technology industry, but my mum probably wants me to become a dentist like her.

What keeps you coming back to Esato? Do you regularly use any other forums?

I just like the people here at Esato, and I regularly use Sony Ericsson Land (I am an admin there), but there aren't many other people over there.

Do you have any favorite Esato members yet and if you do, why those in particular?

No, I don't think I do. I like you all

Do you have a favorite Esato thread?

Probably the "Huge photoshopped SE portfolio" thread, "Huge photoshopped Motorola portfolio" thread and the "Huge Sory Ericssoo portfolio" thread.

I couldn't possibly chat with you today without mentioning the smoking thing. Are there any specific reasons why you are so strongly opposed to smoking other than the obvious negative effects that we all know about?

I hate the smokers' attitudes, they think they are so much higher than everyone else, and all us non-somkers have to go out of our way for smokers.

You recently made a public apology here on Esato, something which I'm sure I can safely say we all appreciate and respect you for. How difficult was it to do that?

Very difficult. What made me do it was the PM's I received regarding complaints other users had against my posting, but I finally got myself to try and change my ways, and I hope that I make you all happier.

If you could be Laffen for a day, what changes would you make to Esato?

I'd apply the same board style as on Sony Ericsson Land. Of course I would also remove the "no pics in signatures" rule, let us use raw HTML in our posts and remove the restrictions letting only registered users see pictures (I think that is just a way to get more members)

Which phone(s) are you using now?

A Sony Ericsson K800i

Which phone(s) are you most looking forward to?

I don't know, probably the N82.

And finally, is there anything you'd like to say to the other members?

Thanks for putting up with me!

And thanks for putting up with me this evening too, Alexandra, and for giving such an interesting and informative interview.

Join me again soon when I'll be chatting with with another upcoming Esatonian right here on the couch. In the mean time, goodnight and god bless!
