What is the TV icon for? Not DVB-H, is it?

beta-tester & thecoolsha already said what it's for. Why repeat the DVB-H myth again and again?

it is very strang solution indeed, if the first phone from SE in europe with tv tuner would only have a 2" screen???
you're wrong it's 2.2 inches instead. all JP-8 phones in QVGA screen has to have at least 2.2 inches and above so that texts and any other inerfaces wont be rendered small and invisible to the display. for 176x220 the screen should not be smaller than 2.0 inches

Guys, that icon was there even on the K850 when the first batch of live shots was released. It'll surely be gone by the time it's out on the market.

I guess we all know what the W890i looks like now but here is another pic for good measure.
@duota
Thanks for the SO905i link, we know what it looks like at last.

The Tv application is also on K850 and W910.
It's not dvb-h, but UMTS (HSDPA)
My thinking too. With more and more networks offering TV services, whether by 3G or otherwise, it only makes sense to have this organised into the UI, in the same way say radio channels are. This doesn't necessarily mean however that the device is featuring a TV tuner.

No, mate - you are wrong! Actually, the W890i has a 2" QVGA Screen built-in;)
Maybe you mess something up with UIQ that needs at least QVGA.
The screen size doesn't really matter. And noone says that a QVGA Screen has to be at least 2,2".
The K800i has a QVGA-Screen @ 2,0". The W880i even has QVGA @ 1,8".
And my K750i has 176x220 and its size is 1,7"!

Update
Some more info has appeared regarding the upcoming announcement.
The iPhone competitor, so to speak, is codenamed Maria, and the focus will be on media features as well as ease of use and a good, solid user interface.
The last smartphone to be unveiled is a mid-to-low-end smartphone, that most likely, is going to be named P600. It won’t feature any ‘great’ features - preferably a QVGA touch screen and a simple 2 megapixel camera.
The ultra high-end smartphone has been known by the name P3i, but this will not be the final product name. P3i will be a smartphone that simply has everything, and it will possibly run UIQ 4.0 - definitely not UIQ 3.0, so either 3.2 or a completely new version. P3i will have a great screen and pretty much all features - this will be a direct hit at Nokia’s N95 8GB and E90.
So it would seem SE has been saving the best till last after all however, 'when' these will be hitting the market is anyones guess right now.

Finally fresh news, i was about change from SE to another brand, it seems that Sony Ericsson didn't disappoint us BUT the release date should be FAST or it going to be another disappointment again.
The ultra Hi-end walkman (maria) is definitely my next phone.
