The japanese word \"arigato\" that means \"thank you\" is derived from the portuguese word \"obrigado\" which means the same thing. The portuguese were the first european people to get to japan by sea in the XVI century. This post was posted from a T68i

Someone mentioned on about page 3 another non linear keyboard format other than QWERTY.

The other format is DVORAK.

However, unlike Betamax which it was compared to, DVORAK is still doing the rounds and is, I believe, a lot faster than QWERTY. Unfortunatly, like the battle between Windows and any other operating system, most people will always stick with what they know and never move.

Fact: Carrots are not actually good for your eyes. This rumour was started during the war with Germany. It has been proven not to make the slightest bit of difference to your eyes.

Another fact: Picking your nose will not make your head cave in.

Also, masturbation does not make you go blind. Unless, of course, you're an exceedingly good (or, to put it another way, bad) shot.

hey sanjeevjaya

in one of ur posts on the first page, it states that humans only use 3% of their brains, but that is not true.
we use all of the lobes in our brains, however, only about 3% is under active control such as thought and speech. the rest is involuntary such as regulating body functions (eg. body temperature).
just wanted to clear that up.
u started a nice thread tho, so keep it up!

You are not a better man when people praise you. Nor you are woarse, when they find fault with you. You are what you are, and God see's you are what you really are! Your value in His eyes does not depend upon the judgement of people.... This post was posted from a T68i

FACT, People who claim to speak on behalf of a "god" have allready placed themselves in a position that (in their own minds only) is on a superior level to others.
This to me is a sure sign of the kind of double standards most reigions exibit.
PS. If a god exists thats fine, but he must be on o2 because his messages are not getting through.
