Are there any more full reviews (like GSM arena's) for this phone?

Anyone know what the UK release date is likely to be (on O2)?
Thanks,

W980 not that loud..
W850 louder than it... Despite the existence of Stereo Speaker in W980

Any word yet on expected price?

No price but it will probably be around the same initial price band as the P1, W960, P990 was when it first came out.
I was due an upgrade this month but O2 has no phones that I want so I asked about the W980. They said that if I want it I could have it as my upgrade and the phone will be sent out when they have it in stock which will be mid June apparently.
Knowing O2 though they won't be releasing it until 1 or 2 months after that
They didn't release the P990 until 3 months after its initial release...

I've heard either June or July, definately Q3.

sorry to hear that, can confirm that W850 is one roaring beast though
this trend of producing phones that are on the quiet side is rather worrying. should put their act together on that front at least.

^ Its really funny (or sad for SE fans) how SE keeps slipping up on the basic things, never mind the built-in FM receiver or the design decision to totally cripple the camera at least they could have ensured that their Walkman flagship was really really loud without losing out on sound quality.

Errr... isn't really really loud bad for your hearing? Or are you still at the 'young and invincible stage'?

As long as I don't miss a call, 70-something dB is loud enough for me besides, the manufacturers can only do so much with those tiny speakers. A2DP and plugin accessories are the way to go for louder volumes anyway.

^ Hardly, I'm at the old and almost deaf age
That's why I need a loud phone so that I don't miss a call.
