Sadly, now confirmed that both G700 and G900 only run on UIQ3.0. Ridiculous if you ask me!! Moto brought an UIQ3.2 phone to market months ago already!
Also taken from the whitepaper: Both phones run on the jolly old 208Mhz CPU all the other SE UIQ siblings were snailing on...

At the least the G series interface looks fine and people who has held it in their hands like them.

Symbian 9.1 has problems in photography functions , first of all is the autofocus
don't make so much hopes on it till you try it
beside there is something strange about it
why the phone book is limited with 1000 contacts ?
I thought it should be unlimited in smartphones like Symbian powered ..

indeed. their designs make them familiar with other

models phones which is good for them i'd say.

have you seen the new g series UI??? so...if it had a sticker saying UIQ 3.2 would it be better??? do you know what actually is new on UIQ 3.2??? not much..
plus...the white paper clearly states: 5mp, recording qvga video at 30FPS, wifi b+g - none of this is present on the P1/W960...all this on a cheaper, smaller device
finally - people that used the g900 say it is "fast"
so why are you bitching??? this not the p5...

..don't think anyone's bitching. The whitepaper says it's UIQv3.0, and I wouldn't put it past SE to launch a couple of new phones now without going for UIQv3.2 either. (It's disturbing to think they've actually programmed some layer- effects and animations manually. And spent lots of time on this - just make sure there'll be no opera 9, flash, and anything else that should've been available on UIQ three years ago.)
