I have a question about the walkman player to all.
Is there a way I can play just one folder (from my memory stick) on the walkman at a time. Currently, it seems to have read all music files and plays them together.
I want to be able to choose one folder and just play the files in it. Replies appreciated.

GOOD NEWS!!!
On May 4th a solution was found for increasing the headset volume for W950 and compatibles. Have a look at
http://101swmail010.googlepages.com/uiq3mods where swmail hacked it. Click on "Sound mod lite Version 1.2 (04 May 08)" and you will get an archive that contains software and how-to.
I tried it on my W950 and headset volume went up to some 30% !!!
And this is only the beginning. The author promisses he will solve also these long-awaited problems:
* Alarm >30sec
* Call recording
* MIDlet permission change
* Bluetooth in flight mode
* Sound mod full
* Application installer
Now this is WOW.

One way is to create a playlist, another is to use LCG Jukebox which has precisely what you are looking for.

But can this be done using the walkman 3.0?
If not, does it mean that all P1 and W960 users have to manually create playlists. If I have 1000 songs, I have to create them all in playlists. Or if I port them form an ipod, I would porefer just putting them in separate folders.
Any one know?

I think that if you view your tracks throught the 'Albums' filter rather than tracks, W3.0 differentiates between folders. So all you have to do is select the 'album'/folder you want to play, open it and play track 1, W3 should then use the contents of the folder as it's playlist.

looks nice, but i have a couple of questions if you dont mind ares, since they are both sis files i assume you can store them either on memory card or phone memory and i also assume you can remove them if you dont see any improvement.
Also have you heard of any risk associated with this method?

Can´t say there´s no risk at all...but nothing happened to me...
Has i say on the tutorial, it has to be installed on C to work, not on D

There shouldn't be any risk, as they are Symbian Dev Apps. But one thing puzzles me tho. I am not an expert, but what I think it is that P.I.P.S replaces some of the existing API's. As for stdio server, well, something is using it to interact with the system, no other way to explain the speed increase. Mind, I do not know anything about programming, let alone about Symbian ecosystem. I'm just trying to figure it out. Nipsen, what do you think? Any new conclusions?
