How multitasking has helped me ? are you for serious ?!? it sounds to me like you're saying multitasking is overrated and unnecessary, no ?
Theres literally hundreds of ways multitasking is a necessary part of a smartphone. Two things make a phone a smartphone IMO, the first is having an open OS for which apps can be made, the second is the ability to run those apps simutaneously.
Put it this way, if i had to close my phones web browser every time i wanted to write a text message, id go nuts ! if i were forced to close any app in order to perform any other function id go nuts ! Most of the time i use my phone im doing more than one thing at a time on it, usually texting while performing another function.
Oh and my insults are not aimed at being so, they're aimed at illustrating my frustration on your odd comments in a thread which has nothing to do with what you're talking about. Sorry to say, but you sad people who bang on about how bad Symbian is and about how great Apple and Android are have again invaded another thread. Where does it say in the thread title "Satio vs Nokia N8 oh and slag off Symbian as much as you can" - as far as i can see it doesnt.
Listening to people with their silly opinions and attempts to force them onto other people to disrepute a manufacturer such as Nokia or Symbian itself
gets very boring.
Moving on and ignoring the ignorant people wearing blinkers, today GSMarena has reported
Nokia N8 starts shipping on time, on its way to fulfil pre-orders, good news for people like myself.

You can do the same on the iPhone. The fact that you're actually closing the app when switching to another doesn't matter since all apps save their state upon closing so you get back to the same point the next time. The user will not see the difference between this and 'true' multitasking.

I replied to a post from you about apps. Then *you* started going on about multitasking and flawed OSs. Forgot your post? Here it is:
No, because those are of some use. Im talking about the hundreds of thousands of novelty apps. Clever use of sarcasm there to defend a flawed OS.
Could you run all those apps simultaneously ? Just give us a yes or no answer to that question for simplicity..
You don't like it when people slag Symbian but you dish comments like the above about other phones?
I myself had not made any comments about Symbian and the N8 in this thread so far. My previous post about the Altek phone was specific to the camera (12MP CMOS+digital zoom vs 14MP CCD+optical zoom).

Now, why cant Nokia do something like this in the UK !?
Nokia N8 feeds video to the largest cinema screen in the world - see link
@ Vit - this is exactly my point, everyone is banging on about how great the iPhone 4 is yet most of the apps for it are novelty. They do not enrich the phone or add otherwise missing functionality at all. Its so frustrating !
But why did they do it in Rosengård. That's a part of Malmö for you who didn't know.
Should have been here in Jönköping instead.

No more slagging of other phones while we are not supposed to do the same with your beloved Nokia and Symbian?

I used to be a big fan of Nokia but their latest phones have been huge disappointments. (I have two: N900 and E72.) Tons of amazing bugs. I can't imagine how those managed to slip through QA at Nokia unless they rushed the products out to try competing with Android and iOS. I have no hopes that they haven't rushed the N8 as well.

lets just wait a few more days and see how the N8 performs before killing it.
and as etaab stated this is a Symbian/Satio/N8 discussion thread.. if you are only here to troll and bash Symbian, then just please ignore this thread and spend your time more wisely on something else.

@ AbuBasim - well there we go, immaturity being honest. Again i will repeat for you, im not interested anymore. I feel like im in a stupid movie fighting the aptly named Android OS (and its Android army of followers). Its silly, pointless, irrelevant and boring. Im certainly not interested in playing the usual forum game of quote a post, reply to it, quote some more, reply to it etc. Keep it for someone who wants to read it. I know what i know, you think you know what you know.
@ jake20,
check out this audio podcast from the bigger geeks than me over at allaboutsymbian, where they mention the strengths of Symbian 3, the future of the OS, the solid business plans made by Nokia and the fractured OS that is Android. I like how they mention how Google is like a dark cloud hanging over manufacturers who buy into Android.

Welcome to Internet forums! When you were answering my posts about multitasking with insults then it was easy to see where this discussion was going. And you're talking about immaturity?
You're complaining about having to defend Nokia and Symbian against Android while at the same time slagging other phones. I've seen your posts in other threads. 'Flawed' is a favorite word of yours, isn't it?
