Auto mode,I thought the point was of having night mode was for night shots?? Would you take low light shots on your dedicated digital camera in auto mode?? I wouldn't. They generally always come out worse. You really think a phone would be great at night in auto mode?? Not even a proper camera is not
OIS is not just for low light. I have never even with a top camera, come across any that takes amazing night shots in auto mode. The 808 does pretty well & yes I agree that it won't be on a par with the 808. But seriously,I have seen much better shots taken with the 920 and no I am not sharing them go search for yourself

I will give you my theory on this:
The 920 has a very aggressive noise reduction algorithm, which helps in those low light shots with longer exposure. The problem is, it doesn't "turn off" when the sun is out, so you loose detail because of it.
... I will go even further. There is a slight chance that the HTC One X and the Ativ S will take slightly better pictures than the 920 in ideal conditions, because they don't have to accommodate for that low light setting.
We will se if I am right in the next few days

Well I'd still choose the Nokia over any of them. Samsung Ativ has a shitty pentile display anyway and I hate their phones now their crappy designs

For sure.. if you want to go WP .. Lumia is the best choice. Built quality, design, free navigation.. its good stuff. The HTC 8X borrowed a lot from the Lankku N9 design and looks good as well.

We haven't seen a good comparison yet. I bought the 920 in the belief that it has a good camera and of course I still believe that's the case . But again, until I have had the oppertunity to try it myself I will not take any predrawn conclusions.
I haven't owned a Nokia since the 3310 and have always been a
boy, but with them out of the equation I'm open to new ideas and brands. Samsung's quality has always let me down and iPhone is boring. Sony often feels cheap and plastic, I say, no more squeaky battery covers!
I just hope WP8 can deliver enough usability .

Do you remember when the Lumia 800 first arrived?? When it did it had poorer photos but was massively improved with updates. This maybe the case with the 920 but I hope not coz it won't bode well. Anyway I played with a dummy model today and it didn't feel all that big will show pics later as I am out now. But I still think from what I have seen around the net it does do better than this here. I love my white Lumia 800 it's fast, reliable, built like a brick and looks gorgeous and also takes good pics

^ you don't like the yellow ? I think I am going to with yellow.. the red is nice too tho. Also.. you guys get 4G ready stickers on the new phones ?
that's awesome
WP8 is fine in terms functionality.. you just need to have mobile internet to take advantage of everything it has to offer.

Well,4G is rather expensive the tariffs are too high for too little. And to begin with it is only on EE network until next year. I would rather wait till coverage and tariffs get better. And also get a new Lumia when I know maybe early bugs are ironed out as most new phones have some bugs right?? These were taken with my Lumia 800
Yellow is bit loud for me red is more sexy. I feel I want to have a great smartphone like one of these as I love Nokia and Windows phone & also have a great camera. Am sure it'll be good but maybe for snaps I may get a N8 again.

Samsung Ativ camera. Samples not very sharp & maybe this is due to Windows software I don't know.
