Looks like we are all on the same boat mate, looks like SE/ORANGE have not developed these phones the way they should of gone out or just this batch of a few thousand, maybe a little to fast on their old release date. Who knows??? Please someone correct my way of thinking if they please!!!
However from reading several forums it appears to be the same across the UK, some are lucky, some are screwed, think that is why they are not currently shipping at the mo, well a few places anyway.
Just hope that they fix the problem and get us our phones by Xmas, fingers crossed!!!.
Lets all start praying, singing hymns, stabbing voodoo doll's at OSPS customer services etc
LOL
Cuppa_T, good luck to ya!, may that phone call come SOON!!!

Join the club! I returned my phone to osps last week for a replacement - I'm still waiting for a new one because of their stock problems. What makes it worse is that they said I had to return everything including accessories and SIM card. I'm now paying expensive line rental but can't even use it!!
When I chased on monday they too asked that I phone Orange to see if I could get a replacement quicker but like you I just got the brush off from them as well - 'It's your retailer's responsibility within 14 days'.
I really hope someone gets their act together soon.

@ ucjtckc & Cuppa_T
It's all gone pear shaped, i am now sure that this is a problem with with Orange and SE. Maybe they were not ready to be shipped for distribution, maybe this batch that has gone tits up due to a worker spilling his cuppa on the distribution line???
Hope they sort this mess soon.
@ Everyone, can we not all see a pattern emerging here???
Maybe all P900 are faulty world wide, please forgive my cynicism!!!
But eh, who knows!!!!!!

Me too ucjtckc
I sen't mine back because of bluetooth problems, now waiting for OSPS to get more stock in to send me a new one - when I phoned on the thursday 2 weeks ago they said that when new stock came in, I would be allocated one from that batch. None have come in though
I phoned OSPS about 5:00pm today and they said that they had a batch in end of last week I THINK, and they didn't pass OSPS quality control so they sent them back to Orange.

Well, mine from CPW seems ok, I may have the tinsi winsiest battery issue, although this may be down to my inexperience with this particular phone and not truly knowing how long it should last (I have had 2 days, 9am-12am each from one charge... the battery indicator doesn't go down much when its on standby, but when you actually turn the thing on to do something, such as use the calendar or play chess, you can notice it go down a few percent in a few minutes... dunno if this is right or not?)
There does seem to be a more serious trend of phone failures from OSP though... so bear that in mind whilst you still wait for them to get some in stock ! heheheh

Did you charge your battery for 14 hours on the first charge? Trickle charge does help to increase battery charge. Also I use Sman which helps to minimise unwanted battery sapping background applications.

It's all a load of bollocks.
It's like any multi-million/billion pound company (money money money etc...) they have a go at you for being 5 minutes late! I nice ask you. Then you work overtime and you don't get credited for it. Tossers.
Anyway, my P900 - where is it? I want it now. I've been waiting three weeks now (almost).
AAAAAAAAAARGH!

JAH...
Yep, charged 'im for well over 15 hours, nearer 20, just to make sure... let it go totally flat yesterday, and charged it over night for around 11ish hours...
(oh, and it did have a little top up in between once when I linked it to the computer, but that was just me testing whether I needed the power on to do this ?:-) and was for 15-30 mins at most when the phone was below half... silly me!)
It has been on for around 8 hours now, and battery is at 94%... though that has been mainly on standby, only used once or twice briefly (once at a CPW that didn't have any, just to rub it in and get disgruntled looks!)
I do fear though that the CPW where I bought it from, may have used it prior to me having it... since I discovered a couple of pictures of their staff on it, unless this was something they do to welcome new customers

->-
I will keep an eye on it, and they will have it back if it proves overly problematical

There should be a seal on the bag that the phone comes in inside the box, but lots of phones get "played with" a tiny bit, it seems they forgot to master reset it, check the call list to make sure it was not used for calls,
it is not going to be a big deal though if a couple of pics were taken with it, maybe you could email the pics to head office to show the photographic evidence of who was on duty when the "Crime" was commited.
