Cool, glad you got it sorted. I just wish SE and O2 would get their act together and sort out the problems

It's too bad about the "auto save to sim" feature being removed coz it keeps the sim and phonebook updated. Hope fixes this in the next fw release.

It's a nice feature. But you can manually copy contacts to your SIM card if you need to.

Wow!
Just updated to r2l (from r1a) with my dss-25!
And guess what... I'm with o2

The k700 i have was from CPW on an o2 contract but was hardley branded (only thing o2 had added was "connectivity--->o2--->get settings)

So there's hope for some of you with o2

Seems like there are different levels/types of O2 branding then, and it seems some can be updated with no problems. I only have slight branding too, just a menu icon, and startup/shutdown screensavers, but you obviously have even less than this. I hope SE/O2 get the rest of us O2 customers working next week then, or at least give us an update as to whats going on.

Anyway, glad you got yours updated
I want some new firmware! Grrr! Fed up of rubbish battery life/indicator and the slow menu browsing.

@colmacg01 [below] I got mine from O2 online too
