Sorry, it was not aimed at you, just at the concept. Yes that is about all of it. Where are my manners, welcome to esato by the way.

Hi folks.
Please understand, i'm a newbie here and after searching through these forums i've managed to get my fw info out, but im still unable to understand how to get my firmware updated. My phone locks up now and then, and i have to remove battery to get it running againg.
I've looked at the davince and setool page/utils, but there is no registration there as far as i can see.
I live in Oslo and would like to get my precious updated!
Feel free to guide me...
or not
take care

Is it true that with the R3K004 software version you can record videos up to 10 MB?(approximately 15-20 min)

@poutsaras. Yes that's right. I was wondering why my new S700i was not recording video for longer than 2 mins.
I have just phoned SE support and they told me R3K004 will allow you to record around 30 mins.

.
They told me that if you go to the shop where you bought your handset i.e phones4u, or go to a service centre then they will just attach a cable to you phone and download the latest firmware for you.

does the latest firmware let you use your own message tones?

No, still boring 5 standard tones...
I am considering flashing a custom tone onto my phone using setool but its a case of finding a nice msg tone midi file to actually use...
Anyone got any?
email me with them...pls
