And frankly I don't think its any worse than my older S walkman with LCD screen in sunlight at full brightness. And the images are so much more crisp and sharp.
I can only imagine how good the X12 screen will be

This:(From the Iphone 4 article, IP4 also has a gyroscope and the X12's implementation will be similar.

I guess it must be a minor refresh, nothing more. And as you can see from the screen shot, there are no visible differences in design.
So NOPE its most likely a minor hardware refresh for possibly selected markets (or maybe ONLY china)
And X12 WILL be the official name.

China website and couldn't for some reason. There is no link for the Chinese website in the global homepage. Or even if it is, I could not figure out, maybe its written in Chinese.
Anyways did you look at the screen shot carefully? At the main page behind the pop up page below it says 2008-09 Sony Ericsson. And the pop up screen showing the phones also seems weird to me as the main page seems to be a playnow page or something similar. I don't know, I maybe wrong but I guess its a PS.
