That's because all flagship k series (K750/K800) to date have active shutter cover. So it wasn't necessary to hold button down while locked. K850 is first K series flagship not to include active shutter.

So in regard to camera on/off button, is this another button in addition to the camera shutter release?

Indeed there is. Its VERY tiny and to the right of the camera shutter button that we're all accustomed to. If the orientation if in camera mode when holding the phone its almost visible as a "nail" button that is subflush. I think this will help

You can see it better here.

I found this Paper in phonedaily.com

If my thought is right
that could be the shipment paper for K850i in 26/9/2007 with Price of 5600 (I don't know the currency of China)

I have to correct you. The date is listed 1996. Cas this is the year of Taiwan, which they slowed their time by 11 years. So the date is 27th September 2007 on the current time. If converted to Sing dollar it will be $253.781. To euro will be 119.746. I guessed this guy paid by installment. but I think he only paid downpayment of 2000 (42.766 euro)Taiwan dollars.

Thanks about correcting..
but 27 or 26 not the big deal but about the Price $253 that Impossible....No way 5MP will be cheap like that i am sorry but your Currency converting is wrong or maybe your whole idea is wrong

That guy might have paid through downpayment first, then later submit the rest when he got the phone. Seriously I also do not think that this phone will be THIS cheap on initial release. OK I now saw what the receipt states besides the amunt. It says under the category "installment".

actually, delivery date, the reason for the late date is that its estimated time for when they will have a phone for you if you order today, those that have already placed orders have a high chance of receiving their phones earlier.

so the only thing that date shows is that its very popular.

Anyone going to pay £350+ for this phone?

I'm going to pay the price it costs.

Even if it cost £500, thats some serious dedication.

Anyway let me spell it out, anyone willing to pay the £350+ that most stores here have it priced at right now? Bit too much for the features you get imo but lets wait and see.

Yeah, well price really doesn't matter to me when getting phones. Anyhow you can count on it dropping relatively fast.

That is really strange!! That might mean that, of some very odd reason, katshing doesn't get their phones as ordered until the end of december.
Or that they just got a defenate realease date and put the wrong date on their home page...OR the SE has withdrawn their phones for some reason and wont release them until muuuuuuch later. If the latter is the case then screw SE! I won't buy this phone!
I spoke to katshing yesterday and they said that the release date was on week 41.
And in my preorder it now says prel. release date 2007.12.28 Hmm maybe i'm to far back in line (no. 449) and and therefore katshing won't deliver to me until the end of this year. If that's the case then screw katshing! Will try to talk to them tomorrow!
GRRRRRR!!! What is this?!

Anybody else got some news about katshing's release date or other reatailer's release dates?? Have they changed or?

today i went to a dutch telecomshop ( t for telecom ) , i just said i was browsing for a new phone and willing to switch to a k850 . the guy i spoke to , ran to the back of the store to get a dummy and said the k850 is to be sold in (the best case scenario ) about two weeks . nothing about the price altough it would be similiar with the k700, k750, k800 release .about 400-500 euros.

the dummy looks nice but i hate the red and green call buttons and i dislike the there is no camera cover (altough the camera module is a little bit deeper inside the backcover)
