Sony is righting some wrongs with this move

The device looks good
What i am interested is the actual dimensions and the battery capacity and how the camera will hold up against the competition

Dear Tony, I need your math skills.....

So let's suppose this situation here.

If I make a sensor that has for example 25MP.
All them are 1,5 micron.
Among these 25 million let's suppose 10 are white, 5 are red, 5 are blue and 5 are green.
Would it be enough to replace a whole mono sensor?

About the render, please add 2,5 mm at bottom to fit speaker and copper/blue for me...

@Lone .... So far rumores point to more than 16cm. Which means it is as tall as XA Ultra series.

design looks clean. can't tell if they've kept the stereo speakers? I HOPE SO.

anyone know what the button below the FPS is for?

i hope the camera is improved. it really needs to at least be on par with iphone/galaxies.

here's hoping... just a few more days..

Of course it has stereo, just not in the right place probably.

As much some posts on twitter/weibo etc might say otherwise , final design and renders are always 98% alike.
This might be the only device with cam button.

NFC should be below camera, not beside.

Can anyone explain the pretty weird names?

Case render dimensions has to be accurate
166.9x72.4x8.2mm

The 6.5" 21:9 display is 152mm tall, even with a 1cm bezel it gets over 160 and it surely has more than 1cm.

The cases are made already, can't imagine the phone itself will arrive later than April.

@moogoo power and fps separated. Fps is not a button

Button below the FPS is the power button. It's separated so they don't run into issues selling the phones in the USA like previous models

gotcha...

question is .. will it be enough to tempt me to upgrade from my XZP? by the time this comes out it will only be 2 years with my XZP. it's gonna have to be pretty amazing to get me to upgrade since mY XZP is still pretty slick.

Glad the dedicated shutter key has survived as some of the early renders didn't include it. Looks like it'll have a separate power button to the fingerprint scanner which is a bit odd but given the legal options behind that I can understand why. The purple looks awesome too just waiting to hear the full camera spec.

One device for march, one for may.

Is the difference just 4G/5G or specs too?

Does not look like front facing stereo speakers.

Button under is the retard solution of a separate power button to press first and then a separate fps to press.
And Sony is doing this while Samsung is putting FPS on power button on the side on phones and tablets...

Edit: And for everyone making excuses for Sony, plz don't be stupid, it's worse for us consumers, if they cared they would pay up or implement something better. Going backwards and keeping high prices for less is not the way to go.
