i know this is old sch news but it annoys me!!! U cant listen to MP3 music when playing games like the XBox.... or atleast listen to MP3 while browsing through pictures in PSP... kinda suck.. but i hope they will realease the new firmware with this features...

Future games will probably have an option to let you play mp3 tracks.
And we dont need new firmware to listen to mp3's while browsing pictures because theres already a homebrew app that lets you do that.
(homebrew rules!)
Here check it out, it works great... much better than the built in viewer:
Jpeg Viewer v0.53 for PSP
Maman has released a new version of his Jpeg Viewer, version 0.53. Changes in this release that have been translated by Gieese include:
- Changed the HOLD settings to be independant between the device side and the remote side.
- Fixed the problem on not balance aspect ratio picture while thumbnail picture. During the Viewer mode, if the thumbnail picture exceeds the screen size, now it will not show it automatically.
- Fixed a problem on not playing the MP3 data correctly when the Audio Frame includes the CRC information on ID3v2 used MP3's.
I also tried out the
PS1 emu.. its a first release and slow... but it works

OK this is getting rediculous,
I thought I finally had the 1.50 updater and guess what, it doesn't work!
Just says unable to start game!
Could it have been US f/w instead of Jap (even though it was meant to be Jap)

Thanks, Charlie -

Currently that is impossible via software. But I think TeameXcuter has a pice of hardware that allows you to downgrade the psp's generic firmware from as high as 1.52 to as low as 1.00 Jap version.
God I haven been on Esato for awhile!!!!.

Yeah, as far as I know TeamXcutionor have the tool and Team WAB want it badly so that they can try and beat them to making software that'll do it.
Oh well, maybe in a few weeks.
