I still think this is a matter of branded vs unbranded. Have a feeling it will be available on the 'official' SE UK site (yes I know it is run by a 3rd party) on or around June 19th-20th. It will probably take another month or two for it to trickle out to service providers in the branded form...
Really think they would have updated their site to say July, if the sim-free unbranded release were actually in July.

Last I heard from the SE Store was that they were expecting the P990i "some time" in June - and that was last week.

oh well, got an M600 on its way so I can start to get to grips with UIQ 3 and be well prepared to try out the P990 whenever it comes along
no point in being too anxious for this P990... plenty of other fish in the sea
