Ha ha he's not the only R&D in SE that speaks in riddles. I knew one that also speaks like that LOL I guess it's their nature to speak something like that.
Oh, is it possible to come out with a mid-range P series? I mean P1i will not be knocked down to mid-range even if P5i's specs is real. May be P990i refined with slimmer and new UI? It makes more sense to change the inferface and a new look while just keeping the old hardware stuff. That sounds more like SE to me.

I believe Mr komiyama is different from mr Flint. judging from their nationality Flint seemed not following the Japanese trends set by SE in it's early days on 2001 because he's not actually Japanese so he doesn't prefer thick highly featured phones
mr Komiyama on the other hand has more Japanese tech mindedness for sure since most Japanese people do prefer tech over looks.

Dont hold your breath, I have been saying since Mid November there is no P5i and I stick to that. Nothing happened in December as 99% of people on here predicted and nothing will happen in Feb.
The only update to the P1i for 2008 wil be software updates. No new fancy phone in the near future.

You might be right but P1i already become outdated.
If
is not going to publish P5i it should at least publish P3i or something in the middle. And publishing something in the middle is also lame
So
should bring P5i out ASAP. If
does this after february or much later it will lose alot of customers. There are alot of people out there waiting for
to bring something awsome. Disappointing them might force them to buy other brands. (such as HTC, Nokia even Apple)

I've been reading the same story for the last couple of years now: If SE doesn't bla bla, then the customers will bla bla... It just does not work that way! SE will announce an new smartphone whenever they are ready to do so!

Of course
would announce when they are ready. Why would they announce before they are. It would be stupid otherwise, wouldn't it??
We are discussing here the specs and the timing. They can always announce earlier a phone with less specs.
