@Doministry the camera quality in daylight, pixel level wise is the same as before.. But I noticed that the overall presentation is prettier in terms of colour saturation and contrast.

Low light high ISO shots seem to be having less noise. Or is it just me?

The massive disappointment for me, is a lack of full manual controls.. I've been waiting for that since the announcement of lollipop. My shots would've been much greater with manual focus and shutter speed settings

Yes, the lowlight shots are cleaner and less noisy.
Basically I feel shots are better overall.

The manual controls - would be great. But I didn't put my hopes up.
Just because I've never heard that happening for real.
I would like them too though.

I don't care for X-Reality at all. I never use it, anyway. It makes my videos & images look unnatural and overprocessed

After some time spent with 5.02 on Z2 some positives:

- Camera is much faster in startup, pics taking and processing.
- Put some inconsistiences aside and the UI is mostly better looking than before
- Battery life is still great if not a bit better
- Camera performance is better

Sorry to encroach but I got my update on my Z1 Compact. Really liking the UI and smoothness, was worth the wait because I haven't seen any bugs yet. I have to agree with doministry on all his points. There are a couple of themes available that gives the UI some consistency in terms of colours. I'm eagerly waiting for a theme to replace the white menus because it's too bright.

I just did a camera comparison of my Z2 on 5.0.2 lollipop against my friend's Z2 that's still on 4.4.4.

I did superior auto indoor comparison as the daylight performance was proven to be the same as it was on 4.4.4 only the colour & contrast presentation is somewhat prettier to the eye.

My Z2 on 5.0.2 was shot at ISO 320 & 1/32s shutter speed, whereas my friend's Z2 on 4.4.4 was shot at ISO 250 & 1/32s shutter speed. My verdict: it is quite impressive that the shot from Z2 on lollipop is showing better details, less noise, and better colours despite the fact that it's shot at the higher ISO.

@Faisal2215: Thanks for the comparison.

Are these 100% crops?

Did you upload those samples to the esato gallery?

@Lightspeed_x yep, those are 100% crops. No, I didn't upload to esato samples. Perhaps I would be in the short time, though
