It was O2 who had the problems with GPRS on R1J so I am glad they are perhaps being cautious.

I'm O2 contract, R1L, cannot update but would leave it a week anyway as 1) my phone works, 2) R1J was a disaster 3) where is the panic?

i'm on o2 contract in the uk and I was able to update tonight to R1N035

How did you manage it? Is there anything im not doing? cause ive trired twice and both times it has said i have the latest software and oncei even went through with the update n i still have R1L.
is your fone EU_1 /Europe_2? this is gettin so long, but i want R1N so badly lol

ps does it make a difference if you have the PC suite installed...cause i cannot install it ..at end of install it errors and rolls back. tried on 2 pcs :S

Spanner, Is your phone O2 branded ? My phone although on an O2 contract sim is not O2 branded that might be the difference as it seems from reading posts on here that O2 branded phones are not updating from R1L.

You have to have all the drivers and Pc suite installed but if your actually getting to the update java applet and it's going through the update process even if it does say eventually that you have the latest software it's unlikely to be a problem at the PC side.

I have a customisation of 102338/38 R8A on my phone BTW.

yeh it is o2 branded this is most prob why. i dont understand why it makes a difference. does anyone know when it should be available for o2 etc. i.e. will it be soon or is it an idea to go get the phone flashed so it is unbranded?

the reason im so eager to update is coz im frustrated with the shite video quality as i used to have a k750 before the summer with the very early firmware but stupidly dropped it in toilet and so had to purchase a new one now with the dammed R1L firmware!

O2 are preventing updates i think because of problems with the GPRS on previous firmware updates not being stable. Looks like they want to test it for a bit longer.

The WAP and GPRS seem fine on R1N so far though. The video quality does look a lot better on the new update.

I saw on other forum that this last firmware have other bugs (crashes) with transferring data files by blootooth or sending sms.

Just tried to update again with O2 branded (I guess) says the phone is up to date. Didnt bother downloading update anyway, wanna make sure it really is the new one before I do.
