By using the flash but not the night mode. While the latter is able to brighten up the scene a bit, it also increases the noise in low light pics. This picture turned out darker than it actually was at that time, but at least the noise is lessened.

no the bottom pics were done with a sony T1, kinda bad lighting (pics were decreased in size by esato), oh and for some reason the car looks kinda pink on my k700 also.
