dude u get 18KBps in morning wow!!! mee too have 6230i and i connect through bluetooth......(i am from ekm right now in trv) i cant get past 10-11KBps!!!...
by what way do u connect ur 6230 for gtel live using data cable supplied by nokia or by bluetooth??..... and what is the connection speed shown in connection status and what driver u use for ur fone modem and datacable.....??

Well thanks friend the trick worked for me too in airtel punjab. (I am using Moto SLVR L7).It's not full fledges gprs as you r still behind a proxy. Regarding speeds wow you r getting 10KBps ; max i can get is about 8KBps but 5.5KBps is what i mostly get.(L7 is also edge enabled).Wonder how cum speed is so SLOW.(WID 6600 4.75KBps is what i get max)

well u don't need to create 2 a/c ur mobile profile has nothing to do
with internet connection. if u r using mo than even if u don't have profile on mobile but still u would be able to access net
and with airtel live u need to have 1 profile and thats all 1 st connect to net and than try to open any site on ur mobile u will get the error of access denied just ignore it! and now open any site on ur pc's browser

this ..thx to Spartan trick ..now i am using the Airtel Free net...
and if u want to use yahoo..then u ..use different messenger like IMgaint..u will get it easily its free..then just configure the IMgaint to use Your freedom....
now i have almost get speed of 13 to 14 constant on the Nokia 3230 and able to chat with frnds..
u can also use Bitspirit to download torrents ..using HTTP-tunnel client

dheeraj thank you very much man. your trick is working like a charm. I did all the things you had said and downloaded IDM which i think is one of the best download manager. Now i get very good downloading speed of around 4 to 6 KBps and sometimes it goes upto 10 KBps.

Yes Your Freedom + Imgiant combo works nicely for me. Thanks for that info. Now I have switched to GAIM and it works fine too and i find this very stable and fast. Both of em use the same GTK+ opensource engine. By the way, i find the socks5 proxy mode much stable than http proxy mode . Now am back on yahoo messenger
However, I tried trillian and instan-t with Your Freedom, but no luck
