I have the exact same problem too, though the phone number is different. The bug has been fixed by updating the firmware and erom

Firmware R1EG001 (UK):
BUG: The phone keeps forgetting the shortcut for pushing the joystick to the right. Despite assigning it numerous times, after a short while the phone forgets it. This bug has been present for several firmwares now.
But I'm very impressed with R1EG001 overall! Lots of nice changes and bug-fixes.
Steve.

@feelisme: There are lots of other reasons though: flight mode, better mp3 player, etc

@maldus:
Did you update yours to R1EG001 by using SEUS? We're talking about K800. Are you sure with what you said? What's your phone? K790 or K800?

I haven't 'spotted' any myself, but I was referring to the list on the first page of this thread. The battery indicator on the file transfer screen is one of the most useful improvements, IMHO.

I must admit I've never seen a K800i produce a picture like that before. If every picture comes out like that regardless of how dark or bright it is around you then I would suggest the camera software is playing up.
Try doing a master reset, it can solve quite a lot of software problems (if they aren't too serious of course). Did you use SEUS to update the phone?

I did the firmware update again and now it works again. Very strange..

Those pictures were quite terrible. I'm glad you got it fixed, since the quality of the camera is one of the most (if not THE most) revolutional feature of this phone.
Prolly one bit escaped during the update process and caused some sort of corruption

Here's a pic taken with the new firmware (R1EJ001):
As you can see, there seems to be less compression used now. Before, the pictures seemed too 'smooth' to me.

BUg that still exists..
number shortcut search does not work in file manager
for example 3 = pictures. but no matter what you press it always goes to the last item "other"
