Good I would like to know too. It should be the same with the sliders and the swivels.

But let's see.

yep, the w910 will lock when closed but only when you are in standby mode or in the play now screen. These are the two times you are likely to want to lock the phone when closing it. Otherwise it stays unlocked.
When you close the display from standby and it locks, for about two seconds the left softkey alone can be pressed to unlock the phone, afterwhich you have to press the left then the right softkey to unlock.
The operation of the slide is a classic example of thoughtful SE ergonomics, inherited from Ericsson of course. It's something the Swedes are particularly good at.

My W910 slide doesn't lock in media player, only in the music play now screen. The play now screen is the screen you get when you are actually playing the track, the one with the album art window.

Thats so true. I have 50 java games to give away on my phone but no-one who has a Samung phone can get them working.
Plus, its the little things, like when you receive a file by BT on an SE phone you get the option to use / view the file straight away.
BT a file to a Samsung phone, I think it was a D600? and you have to go into the FS to retrieve it. Its little things like this that make SE's such a breeze to use.
No kidding. You are fooling yourself big time - to think a chap with a INNOV8 will want your 50 free java crap. Give me 1 top s60 game then a 100 java. Not only they are not designed for a specific graphic accelerator but even worse, they are designed to use as little resources as possible and play on as many systems as possible. That's exactly the opposite to hi-performance. I belive Alcatel and of course Sagem (SE's affiliate and 'quiet' mentor) plays your java games too. Go try them on
That INNOV8 chap will want whatever he can get for free after spending $1200(750euro) on a phone. Besides the camera side of the INNOV8 and the new LG both look like cr*p. Looks like the design teams got lazy and said "good enough, just throw a bunch of text and logo's on the back."

this is a question for the people who have used sony ericsson sliders before:
Does the keypad auto lock if you close the slide and can you play games, browse the internet, veiw photos, answer calls etc.with the slide closed?
Yes, u can do everything with the slide closed, except dialing and if the camera is hidden with the slide, then you cant use camera.
I have used, w850,w910 and w760.

Get a grip, the C905 isn't a smartphone obviously, how can it possibly compare to a smartphone, are you mad?
Performance? The INNOV8, so I have read, needs 8 secs to take one snap, correct me if I am wrong. The C905, with BestPic can take 8 full res snaps in how long? 8 full res snaps in half the time at least. The C905 is a cameraphone, its not trying to be anything else.
I may be wrong but no-one is ever 100% right. Especially not you, you pan lid.

I am (was) fan of SE...but now am waiting for INNOV8....bey SE...unless they will make something really good. C905 is a waste of money, time and patience....same as my K850...i remember good days with K750. but they are gone.
Innov8 has everything, but mostly....it HAS STANDARDS!

@Goldenface Do you always call people names if you are 'in a corner'. Do you really think is my fault SE is not competitive anymore? That much is 100% sure. No matter what you call me, it won't help Sorryericsson. What they need is a miracle and that won't come from us. I see Sony them self had a very bleak week, having to recall so many laptops. I hope SE will be more carefull with what they are releasing. They can't afford to disappoint their fans once more.
