BUg that still exists..

number shortcut search does not work in file manager

for example 3 = pictures. but no matter what you press it always goes to the last item "other"

Just a question. Are you sure this is a bug? Did it perform as such with previous software implementations?

Yes, this has always been the case.

When a bug gets fixed from a previous firmware I put it in the 'bug fixes' section. If it's not in there wither it hasn't been fixed or no-one has tested for a fix yet.

Ah, okay. I had never noticed this particular function. Well, let's hope it gets fixed then.

Probably the second bug about the size of applications is CDA dependant. I use R1ED001 CDA 102568/4 R4A and I have all the informations about the file size of applications. For example for Opera Mini it shows 275 Kb. So I don't have that bug. Change the information on the first page please!

Thanks!

I think you misunderstand the bug that is being pointed out. I can still get the information for individual applications or games, but the actual folders where the files are located come up as 0 files 0B.

Hello. Just would like to mention that i have updated my K790 to the new firmware R1EG001 today morning via FOTA... Have checked and confirmed the improvements/ bug fixes as mentioned on page 1... I live in India and have updated successfully...
The firmware download size was 3432 kb which took about 10 minutes and a further 10 minutes for the update to be complete. Cheers.

Just wondering for those updating via FOTA--and you're successful with that---what does FOTA say if you try FOTA once again? Does it offer you to 'continue anyway' just like SEUS does? I've never managed to update via FOTA because it always says mine is the latest f/w whichever f/w I have. Do you think it's offered only in some regions and why?

I'm relieved to see that compression (or anti-noise) has been toned down in the new firmware. I'm sure it helps to reduce noise significantly, but was concerned that in some lighting levels it became a bit too invasive.

@ aremaboy:

After Updating firmware, on trying to update again it just says "Your phone already has the latest software".. There is no option to continue anyway.. just like before..

Also I have noticed another new thing...don't know if it's mentioned- On connecting to GPRS, earlier the Small Globe that appeared used to rotate to indicate an active connection...
With the new firmware - The Globe doesn't rotate... It Blinks and becomes lighter and darker, which indicates an active connection...

Nothing major though... but a definite change from the old firmware...
