Guys! This thing is confusing me. Explain it for me. : World call wireless, Gocdma, PTCL V, Aren't these CDMA networks? Which also called as UMT/3G. What's the different? Why still we are looking for 3G? pardon me if my question sounds too stupid. But please mention it for me. What i am assuming is this CDMA (in Pak) is n't offering mobility yet but just in city and a 3G is as connect gives mobility as like another GSM connection.
@sherry hope u would be doing fine :|

@Greeneyes16
Definition of CDMA:
CDMA standard, also known as CDMA One and still common in cellular telephones in the U.S., offers a transmission speed of only up to 14.4 Kbps in its single channel form and up to 115 Kbps in an eight-channel form. CDMA2000 and wideband CDMA deliver data many times faster.
WCDMA:
W-CDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) is a type of 3G cellular network. W-CDMA is the higher speed transmission protocol used in the Japanese FOMA system and in the UMTS system, a third generation follow-on to the 2G GSM networks deployed worldwide.
More technically, W-CDMA is a wideband spread-spectrum mobile air interface that utilizes the direct sequence Code Division Multiple Access signalling method (or CDMA) to achieve higher speeds and support more users compared to the implementation of time division multiplexing (TDMA) used by 2G GSM networks.
---------------
CDMA is a old school shit. Where W-CDMA standerd is for High speed 3G and 3.5G.
Hope you would understand
