Hello,

Does anyone know what the cda & cxc number stand for?

I'm on CDA 102338/48 R9A and CXC 125953 Europe_3 and still not able to update ...

Cheers,
Dan.

Quote:CDA102338/16 is the O2 UK branded firmware. R1N for this CDA has not yet been approved by O2 to release on SEUS.

CDA102338/38 is an unbraded UK firmware, and if your phone has this CDA then you will be able to update via SEUS.

My CDA102338/77 is the branded/locked to O2.

I apologize if I seem to be going ballistic but I assure all I am not...

I wont be using a service from Davinci or other since I have no desire of spending that extra cash after buying two mobiles I am a little over budget.... Other bills to pay....

I am however experiencing many bugs on all the K750i I have and had... 1 mine one my wifes and one already returned... I have 9 more days and then O2 will have them both back anyway if they dont work as they should...

Thanks for your input mwarner. Always appreciated...

As far as I know there are no further updates for the K750i from f/w rev R1L002 and until I see proof I wont believe it there is any firmware update other than the R1L002...

No offense meant to anyone that claims otherwise...

No, you're just calling us liars - how could we take offense at that?

Anyway, my never-branded Swedish locale phone with EU_1 and Europe_4 updated two days ago, for what it's worth...

Yeah I debranded and changed my CDA to CDA102338/38 last night and it flashed right to R1N without a hitch. Suits me because I've been meaning to debrand for a while plus I had £7 spare in my Paypal

I have EU_2 in the UK and i updated to R1N035 last night!

Maybe ya'll could learn a lesson from this and not buy branded phones? o2 arnt the worst mind as they dont sim lock their phones but i'll never get branded again. If you dont like the idea of re flashing your phone do yourselves a favour... get ur cheap contract branded phone sell it on ebay and buy a nice shiny clean untampered with phone like i did

R1N seems nice enough, not found any probs yet

I am in no way implying that any of the users able to update are liars...

The fact remains that for many of the users on a branded/locked to UK O2 Europe_2 are unable to update...

It seems however many users have diferent locales like China and yourself a Swedish never branded that are able to....

Which with all respect brings me back to what I really mean/meant...

For Users Like Myself there are no updates available, and only like Mwarner said it depends on your region/phone...

Again I would like to stress that any of my view are not meant as an insult to any...

If you feel otherwise I apologise...

I have managed to get the update on the UK site. I had to debrand using Davinci first though to a different CDA. But as soon as I had done that it allowed me to update on SEUS.

Video Quality does seem slightly improved.

Firstly let me say "Hello" to everyone on the forums.

I've been reading most of the posts on these forums, but have never seen a need to reply.
Well now, I hope my reply is useful.

I updated this morning from R1J002 to

R1N035
prgCXC 125952_EU_1_CL
R1N035

LCD SW versions
Main display
Current: 0

Camera SW versions
Camera
Current: 4.5

ITP SW version
CXC 125 932 R1B

Customization (just noticed that's american spelling...)
CDA102338/38 R6A
cxc125953 R1N035
EUROPE_2

Content version
PA19

This was done using SEUS on the UK website, following instructions to the letter.

I have an Unbranded phone, bought in May (the first one bought from the shop on the release date!) with Voda SIM.

Thus far, I haven't noticed any differences at all, except this;

This movie was taken about 5 minutes ago, after the update:

File size 599KB
Length: 00.28
Size: 176*144

Now compared to one taken with my old firmware (R1J002)

File size: 289KB
Length: 00.29
Size 176*144

Looks like they've improved substantially.

Piccies?

The close-ups of the laptop were taken using the Macro feature. All pictures were taken using Auto White Balance

Before pics:

After pics:

http://img.photobucket.com/al[....]n_iv/Phone%20Pics/171eb331.jpg

(Couldn't use Esato one for some reason, sorry.)

I think the quality of the picture taken using Macro is better, but i'm not sure if that's anything to do with the way I took the picture, or the fact that pictures generally differ slightly, even when you try and take them exactly the same.

Hope this is useful.

Go on the SE website under support then product support then phone setup and you'll be able to send the settings directly to your phone

Cheers

Thanks. I have the mms settings now and can send piccies no problem. I do seem to be having trouble with the email though it just keeps looking for a server!! any help would be great. Thanks
