@kami, not sure how paypal works in india. here i had to give my credit card details while signin up for paypal. many sellers on ebay require u to be paypal verified (thats to credit card prevent fraud) so u have to give paypal ur bank acc number and they transfer a few cents into ur account, then u gotta wait till it shows in ur bank acccount then goto paypal site and tell paypal how much was deposited by paypal into ur bank, this is to make sure that the account is ur account. then u become paypal verified.
p.s i think paypal also requires a LAND LINE number when u sign up and dont think they will take cell phone numbers.
but no harm trying to sign up, and lemme kno how it goes.
