i just love how the fone is very clear for the ear speaker, and the ringing speaker is incredibly loud, well done. i had the w910i b4 w960i, and i was not impressed at all, but 960i, has done it for me, even though it has all hte nice features, we alll know ,after a week of mucking around, we never use them nemore, like seirously, who uses wifi on ur fone, wen u have a laptop / pc. theo nly other function i use is the sound recorder, so i know wat sum songs are , if i do not know wat it is called.

Yes. Pick up the phone and give the SE support people an earful. Then write more mail to support, and get answers similar to - "have you inserted the battery properly?", to all questions, including the ones about problems with the UI. The repeat the questions, and get blown off for pestering support with an already answered question - "check to see if the battery was inserted properly".
And then write your own (partial) changelog at the wiki.

I've just upgraded the firmware of my HK version 960i and the main thing I notice are camera improvements. First, it takes pictures in half the time. Second, there's a square viewfinder in the center that turns green when focused.
Another thing I noticed is there's a slight change with the 3 square symbols that appear when you input text. Instead of displaying a chinese character, it now says "en" for english.
There's also a snowboarding game called SSX by EA sports. It's a cool game that looks and plays a lot like Tony Hawk Pro Skater on a gameboy advance. The controls are a little quirky without a d-pad though.
So far, that's all I can see.

Hello there!
this is my first time to post here, and I can say that I'm a very proud owner of the W960i unit, =)
Just want to ask what's the firmware (latest?) you have installed on your phone. I think the firmware on my phone is a bit old (CXC 162037 R9J005). Any improvements and what are the changes that were made?
thanks! =)

Well, in that case, I my f/w is pretty much at par with what you suggest - i do get the square in the viewfinder and the SSX game....but not too sure about the photos....the quality is very nice & sharp but the colors are very unbalanced - specially the blue component is very dull and I have to manually edit ALL my pics in the PC afterwards...

Yeah, the camera's just ok for taking family photos and stuff like that. For anything else, you're better off with a regular camera.

You're right, I can't seem to find the record function during calls either.
