impossible to use same sensors with different focal lengths.
One module with 52mm wouls use almost twice the spaceof the 26 mm because the refraction angles.
This is why " tele" is smaller to keep both same size.

This explains what is used for cellphones.
I have a curiosity. What happens if you open the phone and replace cam sensor for another of same size? Does it work??

There's a lot more to optics than that. The design of the elements, the aperture you target, and the optical materials used will all affect the design.

Just read an article on Phonearena about Xperia 1's price.. They were criticising it as it was equal to S10s price.. I don't get it why though? It has a 4k oled, sd855, triple camera, so why can't it be $1000? Yes.. The battery is small.. And the camera is not what we expected.. But it isn't even out yet.. Why do the sites hate Sony?
I wouldn't mind if they complain about the 10 and 10 plus.. They are useless IMHO.. But the flagship is really good.. Great design.. So why the useless bashing?

Phone Arena believes the Xr is the best deal ever. Better phone than Mate 20:Pro or Note 9.
The most ridiculous excuse is : it does not work with SPRINT network.
They are not even the main cdma in USA... 99% of the nartions use gsma, but no cdma is a huge CON...
Funny fact is Motorola phones get worse year by year and those sites do not complain.
Pixel every year comes full of issues : microphone, screen, ram etc ... They still drool over it.
LG phones are not good at anything, but they are forgiven ....
It is obvious, if you work for a tech site you need to say as much good things as you can about the ones that sell more.
Phones ( Sammy and Apple) , computers ( Lenovo), smart speakers ( google) etc ... No matter if products are good or bad.
Months ago I thought midranges were going to earn imx400 and its skills... 😰😰😰😰😰
If you do not do this, your site will be very small.
Androidheadlines and Androipit do not have 5% of the readers of PA.
