I'm waiting for my K700. It should be arriving today. I spoke to a girl on the phone from O2, and she said that the phone is unbranded, although she said it was possible that it would have the O2 Wallpaper and Screensaver, but this can be deleted.
She also said that the USB cable was included! I'll confirm when I receive mine, or if anyone else gets it before I do, can you confirm?

Quick question for those who've had the phone for a few days now - how's the battery life in real-world use? The quoted figures from the specs look impressive, but one review (http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/review.php?reviewId=470) seems to have got pretty poor life from his.
Mainly I'm interested in how long it lasts just using it as a 'phone and for Bluetooth sync with a PC, I'm not too bothered about camera etc. as those would be "occasional use only" for me. I'm coming from a Nokia 6310i so I have quite high expectations for battery life

the impression I am getting is that if you use it as a phone the battery life is pretty good but when you start taking lots of picture or video, or listen to the radio alot or mp3s (i.e. stuff that keeps the backlight on as you control those functions) then the battery does drain fairly quickly.
I've done 3 charge cycles and messing about with the phone most of the day with many of the featuresI'm left with about a 3rd on the battery scale. I expect it will improve a little when the battery settles down

Yeah, that figures - the audio and camera functions were always going to be among the most power-hungry I suppose. Can you turn the backlight brightness down or off, or change the delay time before it goes off to save power?

the options are
ON: The light is permanantly on
OFF: The light is permanantly off
Automatic: The light goes off after a short period of inactivity and the clock appears after the screen saver
Powersave: The screen is turned off after a short period of inactivity
Powersave will consume the least power but I prefer to have the clock displayed

I just called the Carphone Warehouse here in the UK, to ask about an upgrade to the K700 and they informed me they are expecting them in next week and to call back Tuesday or Wednesday...
Remains to be seen how accurate this information is.
The local (Cheltenham, Glos) O2 branch claim to know nothing about the K700 or when it will be out on O2. I informed them that its already being sold on the O2 web-site and apparently "O2 online is a completely different company". Hmmmm...

I´m not from UK but here in Portugal local stores are very misinformed and know nothing until after 2-3 weeks of the release date and when people go there with a new mobile and they "It´s from our brand?!? We know nothing about it..." or even better EVEN in the company´s service "Vodafone service, what can I do for you?...yes... K700? We know nothing about that mobile in here... what? In Vodafone´s webpage it exists?!? We still have no info about it..." LOL
