Yes that's true but not a problem for BT headphones which is why I asked the question.

As a person who used to install and service carkits, I know all about keeping the pins on the bottom of the phone clean. BTW, you should never use a pin or needle to clean the pins as that thread suggests, you should only use Isopropyl Alcohol on a cotton bud to clean them.

The problem with my headphones is either:
1) The speaker wire(s) contain an intermittant open circuit due to thier fragile nature.
2) There is an intermittant fault with one of the earbud speakers.

I suspect #1 to be the case. It doesn't surprise me, I didn't expect them to last long.
