all this mumbo jumbo about the PS3 7 core proccessor and the extra one i forgot what for.....
and the xbox 360 has 3 cores that are just as powerful but not as efficient as the ps3....
like you lot will care..
what you care about is the graphics which means the GPU and tboth consoles GPU's have fairly the same numbers...meaning graphics wize the consoles will be the same (dependin on how good the developer is)
BUT becasue the PS3 "Cell" processor can do more calculations it just simply means u will see more moving things in an enviroment (e.g. leaves .... Quoting one PS3 guy i fogot hu......Every single leaf in the game could potentially have its own mind but of course that would be too extensive) this just basically means
when u play GTA ...... the wind will blow and trees will move
but in actuall graphical quality both consoles will be the same
xbox 360 online will no doubt K.O the PS3 online
Ps3 Has more extra stuff like memory card readers etc
PS3 have to liscense the bluetooth technology meaning higher prices for bluetooth peripherals
Xbox 360 has its own wireless tech....cheaper
xbox 360 will most likely be $300 - £300
PS3 Blu-Ray disc has upto 54gb memory but cost more to produce
NOT YET confirmed but if M$ do go for HD-DVD HD-DVD's could potential have more memory than blu-ray but blu-ray is MUCH MORE interactive
Xbox 360 has already got working prototypes bein shown to public which makes M$ more belivable....coughs ken kutari
althought the ps3 might have more little extras i buy a console for he follwing reasons

Game Prices
Games genre EXCLUSIVE to the console
Online Stuff
Graphics
right now i say the xbox 360 is worthy of a Pre-Order
PS3 is good..but..........just hasnt yet grabbed me
Oh and the xbox 360 will be a gr8 Christmas gift
for myself

how about you guys have a look at the demos for the games console from gamespot. have a look a the killzone ps3 demo and have a look at the project gotham 3 demo and judge for yourselves. my vote stays with the Playstation 3

@lukebonathan i have halo 1 and 2 as i have and xbox and a playstation 2. excellent games but i still want to get a playstation 3 first. microsoft are releasing halo 3 at the same time as the Playstation 3.

u are officail a sony fanboy with no intent on lookin at both sides of the story
Would it not even appear to u that those videos were NOT rendered on a real PS3????
unlike xbox 360 vids/demos that have been realesed are on actual xbox 360 gpu's

I agree. That killzone ps3 demo was just a way of taking the attention away from the 360. The Sony guys had no real game footage unlike the 360!
