Thats exactly what they'll say, but in a different way.

Most Pxx0 Users are loyal to the P-series, Ive owned all 3 P series, and many others move from P series to P series, so SE are going to be thinking of losing loyal customers if they dont act quick enough.

P-series are for those who REALLY know what they want from a professional PDA/mobile phone. It is for people who can take the phone to the limit and really appreciate its feautures. Because a phone might sound a little weak in the papers, but in practice, all these details (that don't show in the papers) makes a phone a winner.
For all other people that just want something "new" because they are itching and the need some shopping therapy, maybe they should go to Nokia where every 2 months they "upgrade" their 60-series sucking their customer's money.
I don't think that any SERIOUS P-series user has major comlpains from their phones. I am pretty sure that these users can make it very easy with their current phone and have not need for an immediate replacement.
We all know that the replacement will come sooner or later.
And whoever says that people are pointing the P910i and laugh, is a 100% IDIOT and has no idea of what is going on.

dont get rid of ur p910i guyz the 910i still rocks!!!.i got the p910i when it was launched previously i use to use a p900 .now here is what i wanna share somethin with u guyz which will make u realise that u still have the best of handset in ur hands.i bought the p910i and use to luv it coz being an ardent fan of nokia i always use to feel all the other brands were inferior but was tware that nokia itself is an inferior brand.

then one fine day when it was almost 7mnths of me being a proud p910i owner i tried doin somethin stupid and it backfired bigtime.i sold
my p910i for a ugly o2 xda2s and what a regret from day one .i use to keep cribbing for my p910i but my pocket didnt allow to switch back as there were no buyers .tried my level best selling thaht handset but in vain . finally one fine day i came across ebay and it clicked some one bought it . i just couldnt sleep that nite coz i knew next morning i am gonna get my p910i back after such a ugly phase.

it dosent end here guyz when i came back to india all my pals use to luv my handset .but then again one fine day i replaced my SE with N6680 and again this backfired too but this time was lucky the 6680 was just in here and there was alot of hype so got rid of it without anything to loose but to gain my SE back.

i hope this post of mine will def.......... help all those who feel that the p910i is old and ugly and wanna get rid for it pls dont even think of doin that.SE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I would only buy a P1000 if it is much better than than a P900 or P910
i.e bigger better screen, WIFI and a possibly a hard disk. These would be SIGNIFICANT improvements over the previous Pxxx series

Tmobile has it pretty much spot on I think, I guess im not so desperate for something NEW I just like something useful.

Well looks like we have stimulated some good debate

the thing is that for me I look at what else is around on the horizon and see things which I know I would like to have in my next phone. This will not be the same for everyone. I for one see the 2Mp camera phones and that would be nice. Devices such as the PSP (this is just for an example) play movies far better than the P910i (I know not to expect the same quality but they are from the same stable almost), there are phones coming with mini hard drives in them etc etc.

It would just be nice to know we can expect something that moves the line in the sand that bit further.

I had to have the p800 when it came out, I managed to get a p900 before Stuff magazine and bought the p910. It's a good phone and always generates interest but it still needs more and after this length of time SE should have come up with the goods...

How about stereo speakers for watching movies?
A swivel camera lens with flash?
A newer version of the old Ericsson clip-on keyboard?

Nothing radical there...
