But doesn't pushing the joystick upwards take you to the activity meny? My V600 doesn't have any activity button, so SE solved it by not giving us the chance to change the upwards move of the joystick since that holds the activity menu.

Can someone with a W800 please clear that out and let us know.

hmmm, if that's the case it's not so bad after all. I shortcut my upwards joystick to mediaplayer anyway, so it's jsut a matter of getting used to swapping up joystick when I'd usually use activity button....

Still not sure if there is any huge advantage in flashing to W800 though.

@TheWhizz_68

The silver Vodafone edition of K750 also works that way. The activity button goes to your wap browsers homepage, so, instead they locked the up movement of the joystick to the activity menu. Same with my V600.

So, it's only the black K750 that has a real activity button then...

Anyway, when I read this thread I got the feeling that people thought the W800 didn't have an activity menu. Glad it's sorted out

Somehow I had the feeling vodafone would do that! So in otherwords if you have a vodafone live handset, they have locked the activity button to the wap browser making it an "online" button like on K700. To make you more likely to use the internet

Which is okay is you want fast access to your home page but I use bookmarks (activity key, right joystick).

How does it work, for example if you are in a game, and you press up joystick, surely it will use the game function and not bring up the activity menu? On K750, you can bring up the activity menu when in a game/webpage etc. Can you do that on a W800?

Well I've held and used both the K750i and W800i, the W800i build quality appears better than the K750i but I still prefer the look of the K750i, the W800i looks a little too 'teeny' to me, I prefer the black (boring?) looking phones.

I'm not jealous I don't have the W800i, I still prefer my K750i, although if I had the option to change the firmware over to the W800i I would think long and hard about it because of the flight mode function, although, anybody tried convincing a flight attendant it's in flight mode?
