But the K750 has a flash accessory that performs well.

... and the k750 is far better than Sharp! The only poisitve point for this phone is that it captures breathtaking MP4 videos (and big, big!). But they are condemned to stay in the phone: no compatibility and file size...

As previous posters have stated, it's got more to do with the optics than anything else. The fact that it's a CMOS sensor doesn't really mean much. To me, the lens matters most.
This picture was taken with a CMOS camera...I ain't complaining.

I sold my CX4200 2MP camera. It shipped with auto-focus and glass lense. It took quite good pics for a 2MP camera. The inbuilt flash was okay but only really good for fill-in.
The K750 is also 2MP and auto-focus (but plastic lense). It's pictures are easily as good as the Kodak. The K750 light is stronger than the Kodak's flash.
The Kodak however had the edge in low light due to having less noise. The K750 however has the advantage of the stronger light that can sometimes overcome a lowlight condition.
Over-all, I don't miss the CX4200. The K750 is close enough to the CX4200 in performance that I'd rarely have needed the CX4200.
If it was a 3MP, I don't think it would've changed much. If it had had an optical zoom though, I'd have been tempted to keep it.
Arez's points about optical zoom and K750's weakness in low light are spot on.

if you really wan't a phone and a camera i think that you should try a N series phone from nokia. N series lentills are from karl zeiss the german cameras manufacturer (of course they are made it from glass not plastic like others phone cameras )

actually despite the glass lense, the N series camera's seem to be about the same quality as K750 pictures. The N90 pictures are slightly less clear with slightly poorer colour/exposure.
Video quality is better however.

I had a k750i and compared it with a cybershot u20 (base miniature digicam) and the pics where nowhere near as good. A phone is for making and receiving calls on, a digicam is for taking pics with!! it really is that simple.

I solf my 5MP Sony Cybershot to my younger brother, sure it too much better pics but I hardly ever used it because I never ever had it with me, just couldn't be bothered taking it anywhere. In a couple of days with the K750i I had already taken more pics with it than I ever did with the cybershot. Pic quality of the K750i is fine, unless you are real serious about photography.
I'm just anticipating 2012 when I can take my new SE phone with X20 optical zoom and proper 10mp burst mode and get some decent shots of the London Olympics.
