The computer I'm on at the moment hasn't got real player or else I'd have a listen, but they'll be talking about their flight plans mostly, altitudes, headings, and way points, that sort of stuff, also getting clearance for starting taxing and takeoff, but they use a lot of abbreviations and unique terminology, and also airport specific stuff like taxi way and runway names and numbers, it sounds confusing but it really isn't, just listen a few times and you'll get the idea, sure there are a few sites that'll tell you what's going on too.

After putting the Bass & treble up to max I can understand a lot more now. I heard a pilot say 'landing aborted due to train'

Just coz your useless country (I presume you are American) has double standards on its international policy, don't think that everyone is a terrorist. Certain people have unique hobbies and you ought to respect them.

Airband scanners are readily available. I know they sell them at Manchester Airport. And I also know there are a lot of people who just like to watch planes! Well even I admit I love to watch them, well especially the Jumbos, it just doesnt seem real that those giants can fly at all!!!

Buy a scanner.
I believe most airline traffic freq. ranges from 110MHZ to 200MHZ. Also visit a local airport and buy a flight map to get airport ATC FREQ.
