Sorry Lisa...
You mentioned that the flip thinks its open... would this not mean that the keypad would become inactive?

If so would it not just become an equivilant to a flip-less p900/910 with half the screen?.

The keypad is not inactive, but it depends on the concrete application how it reacts on the keypresses that come from the flip which is "not there". Best will be to try in practice. I'm personally using Flip Extender on my phone since they gave me an alpha version and find it quite useful when hanging on the bus and the like

you have wrong!! try using the buttons on your p9xx when you are using it with flip open! they are not inactive, actually all works but you only get numbers not letters....

We just noticed in My-Symbian forum posts that the latest version of Magic Launcher has functionality similar to Flip Extender. So, our stuff is not that unique as we thought. Nevertheless, we keep trying to add features that justifies its existence Stay tuned for the beta test!

hmmm, will you have that bad bad bad icon that Magic Launcher has? I hate the icon which is added to every window! Please don't tell me you have it too...

And yes, could you give us some more details about what this app will be able to do? other than it can run everything with flip closed? Maby some more nice screenshots?

Quote:will you have that bad bad bad icon that Magic Launcher has?No, that icon is specific to Magic Launcher (and it has great functionality IMHO). Flip Extender has no similarity to Magic Launcher other than the ability to virtually open the flip.Quote:what this app will be able to do? other than it can run everything with flip closed? That's its exact purpose - other than that, we try to make doing it without too much compromise. When it's ready, you will be able to decide if you need it or not.
