Well spoken, gentlemen. I simply find it a bit ludicrous that ppl have this "herd" mentality when something new comes along which they do not know, understand or have any experience of. Granted, that phone is an ugly mother, no two ways about it, but we cannot wish away the fact that it's Symbian, got a brilliant camera rating (untested, obviously) and that it comes from a manufacturer renowned for outselling the competition. If anything, the question that needs to be asked is when are their competitors going to come up with cheap smartphones? Surely this isn't too difficult a task? One would assume they have something on the drawing-board, and i for one would dearly love to see a new range of Symbian phones from SE. Unlikely? Who knows...

it never ceases to amaze me the criticism people point to a non se phone before its even released and available for test.
to complain about the mechanism may or may not be true but then the same can be said for se s flip and twist phone which also look like and acciedent waiting to happen.
Hate is a strong word & i might be mistaken in saying its not mentioned in anyones posts. It not as good as SE K750i/W800i due to the fact its heavier it has that horrible twist function the camera isnt as good even though its still 2 mp & it has less internal shared memory. Now i own my very own nokia 9500 aswell as a SE p910i & K750i so i am partial to a nokia but i believe SE build & Design quality far exceeds nokia.
On these forums, what else could one reasonably expect from people who actually have the intellectual capacity to hate an inanimate object like a cellular phone? Of all the things on this planet to hate, they choose manufacturers other than SE to heap scorn upon. Isn't it ironic that they only hate those who consistently outsell SE?
Yes, it's nowhere near as good-looking as some phones out there, but for heaven's sake, it's a PHONE, not somebody threatening your way of existence. Some of us really need to get out of the house more often.

Does mass really play such a big role? I do understand that the older phones were quite hefty, but a few grams either way these days shouldn't be a crucial factor. However, that 8800, as sleek as it is.... You could brain somebody with it :-)

i still come back to the point of how people can criticise a phone from an artist impression. its like saying the new walkman se twist phone will fall to bits as it a twist and the pics make it look weak.
or the k750 looks flimse in its pics and that the camera cover will snap really quickly.
until you can try the phone i dont really see what you can say against it expect make a judgement on the looks of the phone which is very subjective.i find it hard to believe you can say the twist will break and the camera is crap all based on an artist impression alone.
to me the k750 looks like a t630 with a spolier on the back much like a chav taking a corsa and putting a fin on it, however i still own one and think its a great phone

We can judge pretty much what want to be honest & as for the nokia phone im comparing it to the k750/w800 according to gsmarena of which the SE win hands down. If it were se making this phone i would still be saying the exact same thing as i im comparing it to the k750/w800 which is wat the thread is about. wheather its nokia or se the k750/w800 would get my vote.

Do u think that they will use a different camera to wat the the nokia n90 uses? If they do then 1 of my comments are wrong but they hav done a comparisson between the N90 & the SE K750i/W800. Nokia n90,n91 & 3250 all hav 2 mp cameras!

they may as some of the models you mention use the carl (whatever forget the last name) lens.
theres no mention of it and they did seem quite keen to push it on the other models not to sure why when you saw the results.
i m not having a pop at you personally its more a general comment on having a go at phones by other manufacturers just because they aint se, lets face facts all makers of phone produce some right turkeys even se.
i just prefer to judge something when you have all the info and if the nokia is still crap then, then thats fair enough but till we hear how the music player sounds and performs and how the camera performs its very hard to have a go at it appart from the looks which are very subjective. its not my cup of tea but some people will think its fantastic looking

i think the 3250 is a decent looking phone especially the silver color one. If blocky phone like W800/K750/K700/T610 is your cup of tea, then 3250 should be palatable.
I think the twist is a very good idea as it is not so obtrusive like a clam or a slider which require some extra effort get to the keypad. On usage, it retains the candybar format which imo is the most versatile.
Most of the time you will set the keypad facing forward. With the dedicated music buttons at the back would not reduce the usability as we seldom require to see the screen when using these buttons. In the event you need to see the screen, you can always use the keypad to achieve the same. For music buff, it supports standard 3.5mm jack allowing you to use your own high fidelity earphones without the need of bulky adaptor.
And best of all, it is a SMARTPHONE which give you endless possibilities and capabilities. And it can be had for a price that is slightly more than a K750.
