Ive just flashed my W800 using Davinci with the same new CDA as you, under your customization does it have this:

just thought it was a bit weird...

I've just upgraded my W800i via SEUS, it's Orange (UK) branded. The update wasn't working last night so Orange must have just authorised the firmware today.

Well I got my W800 in phones 4 u and there is no branding from O2 at all. looks just like a bog standard W800. However SEUS tells me that operator doesn't allow use of this service. I did notice on the packaging though that the phone appears to be a french model.

They get phones other companies overseas cant sell and have been branded locked to theire Networks and god knows what else...
then they piss about with them to get them working over here and then poor souls looking for a deal end up getting stiffed with a shite mobile...

I have a credit on Davinci but can't get the thing to work, everytime I connect the phone to PC it keeps turning itself on, Can't figure out what am doing wrong, have foolowed everything to the letter.
Is it the french model thats causing SEUS not to work.

Bear in mind that Carphone Warehouse also own Phone House, with stores throughout Europe.
It would make sense to buy from anywhere in Europe, according to price, not just in the UK. I don't know if they do all their purchasing centrally though, but I am sure they do wherever possible.

Please excuse my newbie-ness
I just bought a w800i in Aust, through optus and the shutter noise and just general slowness of the camera is driving me nuts. And yes the shutter noise is still there even in silent mode, and no I'm not taking pics of chicks.
So looking at this thread, I need to apply to R1N035 to at least fix the shutter noise. Can I do this through SEUS? Or do I need to use Davinci?
I'm guessing it is the customisation that needs to be changed to get the silent shutter working. So probably need to use Davinci?
Is R1N035 a stable firmware to use on the W800i?

Your W800i is optus branded = SEUS dont allow update to RN firmware ..yet..
buy devinci credit and flash it with that instead.
use the same EU1 as me and same CDA and the camera shutter sound will be gone.
and latest firmware is worlth updating

Other thing I meant to ask, do i need to buy cables and stuff from divinci to flash my W800? Or do I just download the client and pay for a credit, then flash it through the USB cable and drives that came with my phone?
