ok cool - that sounds good - exactly what i want the upgrade for. anybody else done a vodafone UK? i know that O2 is now up and running from the previous thread near this one -

great looks like its working for vodafone users aswell as 02 users now - when i finish work im gonna give it a go...
@SCOTTP did you find the call volume and signal reception better with the new firmware?
anybody else?
p.s whats DRM? is that the MP3 thingy?

Just updated successfully to R1N035 on UK voda non drm software.
Will test the phone and report back in a few hours. Fingers crossed my hbh-610 will now work....

Oh my god... at last...
My "black" k750 now works with the HBH-610
Finally.... It taken them a while.... Camera seems fine, video quality is better than previous R1L (i think... but hey i use a camcorder for video anyway), mp3s seem fine, memory stick contents all intact (oh yes remove the memory stick before you upgrade)......, phone is still SIM free ....... so happy so far.....
ok, the particulars are as follows:
R1N035
EU_1 etc......
Camera version is 4.5 (previous 4.4)
CDA102338/68 R4A
Europe_2
Contents PA19

Hopefully I'll be able to test the camera over the weekend.
As for DRM - it's Digital Rights Management. Normally Vodafone only let you use DRM'd MP3's as ringtones. However, the 'black' k750i from vodafone tends to allow you to use any MP3 without having to DRM.
I also removed memory stick before updating and had no issues during the update.
Same particulars as james007bond

Getting really annoyed that it is taking so long for this firmware to become available for the silver vodafone branded EU2 phone.
Does anyone have info on this and have vodafone or sony made any comment on the inconsistency?
