This is really interesting.
I never had an opportunity to feddle with the transmeters.
What happens is I use the range thats already allocated to some radio station ?
I thinking it would be great if it overrides cos I might give a fake broadcast.
I hope it eventually gets here.

if you tune it to an existing station, you will probably get a bit of both signals. Also the range is very short 30ft or so, so you can't transmit the signal very far. Even if you could, somehow I don't think the power of such a small transmitter would have a hope of overpowering a local radio station

Bad news for you boys & girls in the UK if you think you can get away with using an FM transmitter in your car ... From Jan 2006 all new Police motorcycles will have a FM signal detector on the bike as standard.
Good news is that we've testing a digital transmitter and its NOT illegal. Yet. Well, not until the EU and/or Blair'n'the boys decide to get all PC over digital too...
Bad news is of course you'll need a digital radio in your car.

Who cares. I'm buying one.
Who needs an expensive car stereo anymore ? just carry this thing around with you and lower the risk of your car being broken into simply to nick the stereo.
December release huh ? this is on my Christmas wish list, even if i have to get it imported from abroad.

It's a pretty stupid law to make a 30ft range fm transmitter illegal.
It's 100% legal in Australia. And we still have a high standard of legislation controlling radio interference.
It's completely unnecessary to make illegal such measly transmitters.
