What do you mean with "no symbian"?
P990 is a smartphone with Symbian OS Ver. 9.1 platform UIQ 3.0, that is the latest version of Symbian ever...

I think one or two hands operation is still the same as P800/P900/P910 with flip or without flip. It's just a habbit matter...

All smartphone/PDA/PDA-Phone with touch screen shall be operated with two hands, right?

Why do everyone complain about screen size?
I was pretty mad from the first pics to, but itīs only like 2-3 mm smaller than P900. And thatīs not bad.

+ probobly they have made it easier to make godd programs and games with flip closed.

I don't mind with the screen size. It's not that "small". People complain cuz they used to be getting a habit with P900/P910 screen size...

Here's the comparison:

I know you can attach an adaptor which as well as needing to carry something else means you can't also use the in car charger at the same time.

Actually, when you plug the new fast-port car charger to your phone, it gives you an extra fast port on the car charger's connecter so you can plug in say a headset or some other accessory. not to mention that you get a white LED on it asw ell

Bloomin' fast port - what about all the SE chargers I've collected over the years? I't useful to have one at work, one at home, one in my bag, one for travel - now they'll all be useless.

If this is your biggest problem then stay with your 868.
Fast port was one of the best things ever happend to sonyericsson. Sad that they didnīt continue with mini-usb.

I agree. The usb-mini should be standard on all phones. I still use the USB sync/charge cable that came with my V3 a year ago to sync and charge the V3. It also sync and charged my V800, JAM and now my JasJar and K-Jam. At least USB and mini-USB are some sort of industry standard.

Remembering all the "what do you want in the P950/P1000" threads, and SE more or less delivering it all, this thread just goes to show that you can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time

I think the P990 will be a great hit despite its tardiness
